Every Sunday for over 14 years I have been the 5 AM to Midnight announcer/host for Nevada Public Radio.
I have always had a passion for Public Radio.
Working at Nevada Public Radio, with its statewide network of full service and translator stations (Las Vegas to Laughlin, St. George to Ely, Southern and Northern Nevada, portions of California, Utah and Arizona), is rewarding, yet at the same time the least demanding broadcast job I have ever held.
Radio has been a part of my life since high school. I was the Program/Operations Manager for the college radio station at UIC, produced public affairs programs aired on major Chicago stations.
I went on to become a producer for WIND and Group W Westinghouse News.
Later I was heard on and a contributor to the ABC/Intermountain Radio Network, reported for UPI and later the Associated Press.
I have been a program director, manager, news director, reporter, anchor, talk host and public affairs coordinator. Markets include Chicago, Wyoming, Northern and Southern California and Las Vegas.
I have broadcast television, radio, Internet and print experience, with a passion for news and people!
Extensive broadcast and print management, journalism, talk host, operations, news director, producer, talent, film and television (various).
Current employer is Nevada Public Radio as announcer/anchor/host.
Previous employers include Group W, UPI, ABC/IMN networks and various stations or employers. Work with Clark Weber, Eddie Schwartz, Larry Lujack, others.
Marketing experience including public relations and public affairs, including University of Illinois Medical Center (internship), A Personal Vision/ Creative Communication, Canyon RTO, theater events, various clients.
